Chaplain Corps Digital Reference
Welcome to the US Army Chaplain Corps' digital reference for internal advisement on religion, moral, ethics, morale, and the impacts on a unit/organization. Chaplains and chaplain assistants advise and assist commanders and leadership, in the discharge of their responsibilities to provide for Soldier resiliency, the development of adaptive leaders and building Soldier-team cohesion. Understanding the four criteria of internal advisement and the impact, both positive and negative can significantly improve the force's ability to accomplish the full range of military operations.
The reference is divided into four sections:
Overview: Describes the fundamental concepts of internal religious advisement
Assess: Addresses approaches to assessment that support effective advisement to Army leaders. A sample internal advisement scenario will be introduced and followed throughout the digital reference
Plan/Prepare: Outlines the planning and preparation activities used in the internal religious advisement process
Execute: Provides guidance on how to integrate the work of assess, plan, and prepare into completed actions
For the most complete understanding of internal advisement, it is recommended that you navigate through the reference in order- begin with 'Overview', continue to 'Assess', then 'Plan/Prepare', and end with 'Execute'.
